Find out why your game stutters.
Play like normal. Laggly catches every stutter and names what caused it: your PC, your Wi-Fi, your internet or the game server. Then it walks you through the fix.

One stutter. Four stops. One answer.
0:41 in, the game freezes for 176 ms. You felt it. Laggly caught it.
First stop: your PC. Something was busy. Laggly notes it and keeps checking.
Wi-Fi and router: steady at 9 ms. Not guilty.
Internet: steady at 12 ms. Not guilty either.
Game server: not checked. Press Ctrl+Shift+M at a hitch to test it too.
Back to your PC. Chrome used 54% of your CPU in 11 of 17 stutters. Your PC caused it.
Early look, not final
It names the cause. Not just "lag".
Shaders, a game downloading in the background, forty Chrome tabs, a hot GPU, a full disk, a bad driver, a busy router, a laggy server. Laggly tells them apart, and the list grows with every update.
Shader compilation
The gameThe game writes new shaders at the exact moment of the hitch. Fades as you play.
Browser tabs eating the CPU
Your PCChrome, Edge or Firefox jumps on the CPU right when frames stall.
A game downloading in the background
Your PCSteam, Epic or Battle.net writes hundreds of MB to disk mid-match.
Windows Update installing
Your PCWindows writes update files while you play.
Thermal throttling
Your PCThe GPU or CPU hits its heat limit and slows itself down.
Graphics memory full
Your PCVRAM tops out and textures spill into slower system memory.
RAM running out
Your PCMemory fills up and Windows starts paging to disk.
A slow or busy disk
Your PCThe drive the game loads from is too slow to keep up.
Overlays
Your PCDiscord, Xbox Game Bar or the NVIDIA overlay drawing on every frame.
An antivirus scan
Your PCDefender or another antivirus scans files mid-game.
Cloud sync
Your PCOneDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive syncing files in the background.
Recording or clipping
Your PCOBS, ShadowPlay or Game Bar capture competing for the GPU.
A misbehaving driver
Your PCA driver holds up the CPU in short bursts. Often audio, network or GPU.
Power saving on
Your PCA power plan or laptop battery mode holding the CPU back.
CPU maxed out
Your PCThe game alone uses every core, and frames wait on the CPU.
Settings too high for the GPU
Your PCThe graphics card is pinned at 99% and can't keep up with the settings.
Asset streaming
The gameThe game loads a new area as you move into it.
Uneven frame pacing
The gameFrames arrive unevenly even at a high FPS, so it feels choppy.
A known hitch in the game
The gameThe stutter happens the same way on every PC since a recent patch.
Heavy FiveM client scripts
The gameA server's client-side scripts eat frame time on your PC.
Memory clean-up pauses
The gameThe game pauses to tidy its memory, at regular intervals.
Input lag from sync settings
Your PCV-Sync or a frame cap queuing frames, so your mouse feels late.
Monitor at the wrong refresh rate
Your PCWindows running a 144 Hz screen at 60 Hz.
Peripheral software
Your PCRGB or mouse software waking up the CPU many times a second.
Weak Wi-Fi signal
Wi-FiPing to your own router jumps while the internet beyond it stays calm.
A crowded Wi-Fi channel
Wi-FiNeighbouring networks and the 2.4 GHz band fighting for air.
Someone else using the network
Wi-FiAnother device streams or downloads, and your packets wait.
Wi-Fi background scans
Wi-FiWindows scans for networks and ping spikes every minute or so.
Wi-Fi power saving
Wi-FiThe adapter naps between packets, so ping wobbles.
An overloaded router
Wi-FiThe router itself is slow to answer, even over a cable.
Bufferbloat
InternetPing shoots up whenever the line is busy uploading or downloading.
Packet loss at your provider
InternetData goes missing past your router: rubberbanding and teleporting.
Ping spikes on the route
InternetYour connection is steady, then jumps for a few seconds at a time.
A VPN in the way
InternetTraffic takes a detour through a VPN, adding ping.
Background uploads
InternetA backup or video call fills your upload, and game traffic queues.
Server performance drops
ServerYour side is clean when you felt the hitch. The server wasn't.
A laggy FiveM server script
ServerHitches you mark line up with the server, not your PC or connection.
A server far away
ServerSteady but high ping that comes from distance, not a fault.
A packed server at peak hours
ServerHitches that come and go with how full the server is.
Laggly hasn't named that one yet. Describe it in the Laggly Discord and we'll teach it.
Laggly learns new causes with every update. Some on this list arrive during the beta.
Proof, not promises.
Make the fix. Play again. Laggly runs the same test and counts the stutters, so you see what changed. No FPS score. No boost button.
The deal.
It never guesses.
Laggly only reports what it measured. If it isn't sure, it says "Couldn't tell" instead of blaming something.
The answer is free.
Every test, every cause and the first fix cost nothing. Paying is for the extras, never for the truth.
Nothing changes without your click.
No tweaks behind your back. Anything Laggly pauses, it puts back.
Count it yourself.
Test, fix, test again. The stutter count is the scoreboard, not an FPS number.
Money back on paid tiers.
If a paid tier doesn't help, you get your money back.
Built by one developer, with AI.
I'm one person. I build Laggly hand in hand with AI: it writes a lot of the code with me, and I test every build on my own PC with real games before anything ships.
That's how one developer can keep teaching Laggly new causes every week. It's also why the rule is strict: Laggly only tells you what it measured.
If it ever blames the wrong thing, tell me in the Discord. Every wrong answer becomes a test it has to pass before the next update.

Sukie is coming soon.
A friendly helper who reads your test with you. Ask her why your game hitched, in the app, on this site or in the Discord, and she'll walk you through the answer.
Questions, answered.
Why does my game stutter?
A stutter is one frame that takes far longer than the rest. Something stole the time: another app grabbed the CPU, memory or graphics memory ran out, the disk was busy, the game built shaders, the PC got too hot, or a driver hiccuped. Laggly watches every frame and tells you which one it was.
What's the difference between stutter and lag?
Stutter happens on your PC: the picture freezes or hitches for a moment. Lag happens on the connection: the picture stays smooth, but players teleport, shots don't register or you rubberband. Laggly checks both, and tells you which one you have.
What is shader stutter?
Games build shaders, the small programs your graphics card runs, the first time they need them. Building one can freeze a frame. It's worst after a game update or a new graphics driver, and fades as you play. Laggly sees the game writing new shaders at the moment of the stutter, so it can tell you it's the game warming up, not your PC.
Is Wi-Fi worse than Ethernet for gaming?
Usually. Wi-Fi drops and resends data when anything gets in the way: walls, microwaves, other people streaming. That shows up as ping spikes and rubberbanding. A cable fixes most of it. Laggly measures your router separately from your internet, so you'll know if the Wi-Fi is really the problem before you buy anything.
How do I know if it's the server or my PC?
Press Ctrl+Shift+M the moment you feel a hitch. Laggly checks whether your PC, your Wi-Fi and your internet were all steady at that moment. If they were, it was the server, and Laggly gives you a report you can send to the server staff.
Does Laggly work with FiveM?
Yes. Laggly was built with FiveM players in mind: it recognises FiveM and GTA V, never closes them or their anti-cheat, and can tell a laggy server script apart from a problem on your PC.
Will Laggly raise my FPS?
Laggly doesn't promise FPS. It finds what's causing your stutters and helps you fix that. Then you test again and count the stutters yourself.
Does Laggly change my PC?
Only when you click. Laggly never changes a setting behind your back. If it closes an app for you, it can open it again after. It never touches games or anti-cheat.
When does the beta open?
Soon, for Windows 10 and 11. Join the list and your invite arrives by email the day it opens.
What will it cost?
Finding the cause is free: every test, every cause and the first fix. Paid tiers come later, and they come with a money-back guarantee.
Where do I get help?
